Iaido Authentic High-Grade Iaito Nihon Antique Gallery Goro Nyudo Masamune Replica - Kodachi (Short Sword) - Wakizashi [Set Contents] - Main Body - Saya (Scabbard) *Items not shown in the photos are not included. *The sword stand is for photography purposes only and is not included. This is an iaito, so it does not have a sharpened blade and cannot cut. It is a safe martial arts tool that does not require registration. This is a top-quality iaito from Nihon Antique Gallery. Retail Price: Daisho (Long and Short Sword Set) - ¥159,000 *This listing is for the Kodachi (short sword) only. This is a rare early lot replica of the Goro Nyudo Masamune iaito from Nihon Antique Gallery. The groove extending to the base of the habaki and the ji-hada (temper line pattern) of the old sword style blade are distinct features of this early-to-mid period model, differing significantly from later models. As it is constructed for iaido, it can be used without issue for iaido practice. When swung, it produces a light cutting sound through the air due to the groove crafted by artisans. Nihon Antique Gallery iaito are highly regarded by iaido dan holders, so you can purchase with confidence. The blade has some minor scuff marks, but overall it is in beautiful condition. There is no play in the habaki, tsuba, or seppa, and the koiguchi (mouth of the saya) is not loose. Please examine the photos carefully for other external details and purchase only after you are satisfied. Nihon Antique Gallery has ceased iaito production, making this a valuable piece. Especially the early lot replicas of the top-grade Masamune are rare and not often found on the market. Please consider this opportunity.
