Vintage Samsonite hard-shell train case/carry-on suitcase manufactured by Shwayder Bros., Inc. in Denver, Colorado. This attractive burgundy/red case features the classic molded luggage design that made Samsonite famous during the mid-century era. The interior retains its original satin lining with elastic side pockets and tie-down straps, making it a great display piece, travel collectible, or restoration candidate. Based on the Shwayder Bros. badge and interior label, this piece dates to approximately the 1940s–1960. Features: * Vintage Samsonite luggage * Shwayder Bros., Inc. Denver, Colorado * Burgundy/red hard shell exterior * Original satin interior lining * Elastic side pockets * Original tie-down straps * Metal hardware and center lock * Approximate exterior dimensions: * 21” wide * 13” tall * 6” deep * Made in USA Condition: Good vintage condition with normal wear from age and use. The exterior has scratches, scuffs, edge wear, and paint loss consistent with vintage luggage. Interior is clean overall with light staining, minor fraying, and wear to the satin lining. Lock is present, but no key is included, so locking function has not been tested. Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.
