Technique: Woodblock Print, Ukiyo-e - Condition: Good condition, well preserved - Period: Edo period, Year 1 of Horeki (established 1751) Artwork by Nakaji Teinen and Kawakatsu Tokujiro Fragment from the valuable book Gahon Hitsuyo Framed in an A4-sized wooden frame with an acrylic panel. This is a masterpiece for those interested in Edo period antiques and fine art (antique miscellaneous goods), or those who appreciate hanging scrolls. Please note that the artwork is made by joining two pieces of paper, so there is a seam in the center of the piece. Nakaji Teinen (なかじ ていねん, birth and death dates unknown) was a painter from Kyoto during the Edo period. His lineage and career are unknown. He was from Kyoto. He lost his father at a young age and studied diligently on his own. He had a tranquil personality and was unconcerned about lack of food or clothing, living in seclusion on Gushan Island in West Lake for over 20 years without entering Hangzhou city.
