This is a framed artwork titled Ukai (Cormorant Fishing) by Hideyasu Kojima. It depicts a boat floating on the river at night, cormorants, and the light of bonfires, creating a calm and tasteful piece. The deep blue and green tones, combined with light effects resembling gold leaf, give it a quiet yet present feel. This artwork is easy to display in spaces that evoke a calm atmosphere, such as Japanese-style rooms, studies, reception rooms, shops, or Japanese restaurants. It's a painting to be enjoyed by gazing at it slowly, rather than one that is flashy. There is a signature 英靖 (Hideyasu) and a seal on the lower right of the artwork. There is a plate at the bottom of the frame that reads 日展会員 小島英靖 (Nitten Member Hideyasu Kojima), and a label on the back that reads 鵜飼／小島英靖 (Ukai / Hideyasu Kojima). The technique is believed to be oil painting, but please judge the details from the photos. [Artwork Information] Artist: Hideyasu Kojima Title: Ukai Technique: Believed to be oil painting Framed artwork [Condition] There are scuffs, dirt, and small scratches due to age on the frame, mat, artwork surface, and back. As this is a used framed artwork, please check the condition in the photos. Recommended for those looking for a cormorant fishing scene, Japanese-style painting, a calm landscape, or a painting that suits a study or Japanese-style room. Master's Words In the deep darkness, the bonfire emits a single ray of power. Within the silence, this piece holds the tension of cormorant fishing and the aura of a man's work.
