Great condition. The oil finish has a few spots where it is rubbed but could be re-oiled or use some shoe polish. Fantastic vintage condition. No tears or holes. Zippers move well and zippers both has 2 keys. Buckles holding the handles are tarnished. See photos. Vintage Gladiator by Dresner. Rare Expandable case with wheels. Zippered bottom lets it expand from 16 to 24 Dresner and sons were active during the mid 20th century in Chicago so the bag is USA made. While known for their leather pieces, they make faux-leather bags in the late 60-70's before they closed. During this period, the Dresner brand moved away from its traditional mid-century 100% heavy steerhide constructions and incorporated more consumer-friendly, lightweight features like expandable vinyl walls and zippers to compete with modern luggage brands. This bag is a cool, genuine piece of travel history that captures the exact moment the luggage industry shifted from heavy, old-school leather trunks into the modern era of flexible, lightweight synthetic baggage. Weather-resistant, and expandable, flexible-sided travel bag. Center mounted logo. Reinforced rolled top. Metallic hardware. Base is 17x9 Top is about 5 wide 42 shoulder strap and be made longer with the adjustable buckle adding up to 6 more inches. USPS order will likely be out in a day but the local UPS drop off is sometimes closed on some week days so I had to add more handling time.
