Authentic vintage 1930s/1940s hand-pieced patchwork quilt in project/cutter condition. This is a true quilt-on-quilt (patched-over) piece—the maker stitched a new square-patch top directly over an earlier worn quilt used as batting. It’s like a hide-and-seek game: as top patches shred open, you can peek underneath to discover hidden earlier pieced patterns! Unusually heavy and substantial at 6 lbs. Details: Dimensions: Approx. 63 x 76 Weight: 6 lbs (heavyweight double-layered structure) Style: Square-patch grid with 1930s–50s style calicos, ginghams, retro florals, and purple plaids. Yellow & green paisley backing. Construction: Fully hand-pieced and hand-quilted. Condition & Flaws: Damage: Heavy wear throughout. Top layer has fraying, splits, and shredded holes exposing inner quilt layer. Stains: Age discoloration and spots present. Care Note: Unwashed to protect fragile antique stitching. Has an estate storage/vintage scent. Sold AS-IS for cutter fabric, restoration, jacket making, or craft projects. See photos for exact condition! Please review all photos carefully for exact measurements and item condition. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Fast Shipping: Orders ship out the next business day. Color Accuracy Note: Colors may vary slightly in person due to individual monitor and screen settings.
