This is a hammered copper tea set from Niigata's traditional craft, made by Hokuetsudo. This is a work by Hiroshi Honma, the fourth-generation master craftsman from Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture. It is a very precious item. This masterpiece is characterized by the profound sense of presence unique to hammered copper, which is made by striking a single sheet of copper, and the beautiful hammer marks created by the artisan's handwork. The Blue-Gold Antique finish, in particular, has a deep, one-of-a-kind hue that gains more character with use. [Set Contents] • Kettle (Teapot) • Kensui (Waste Water Bowl) • Chata (5 Coasters) • Tea Scoop • Original Paulownia Wood Box [Product Condition] • Main Body: The item is in excellent condition with no noticeable scratches or stains. • Paulownia Wood Box: Shows signs of age-related wear. • The yellow cloth that originally wrapped the product has been air-dried after washing. It has some loose threads, so please consider purchasing a new one if necessary. • The paraffin paper has deteriorated over time and has been replaced with thin cushioning material (Lightron). • Please check the images to confirm all included items. • The product is carefully protected with cushioning material. To facilitate reuse of packaging, we have minimized the use of tape. Please be careful to ensure no items are lost, especially the small tea scoop. [Notes] The main body has been cleaned as much as possible. We ask that only those who understand antique/vintage items and are able to perform maintenance and care (such as airing) consider purchasing this item. This is a wonderful tea set filled with the skill of a master craftsman. How about adding it to your collection or using it for a luxurious daily tea time? #Hokuetsudo #HammeredCopperware #TeaSet #TraditionalCraft #Copperware #Antique #FineArt #NiigataCraft Click here for the manufacturer's site
