Discontinued Jonathan Adler figural brass magnifying glass featuring an elephant with its raised trunk supporting the circular glass lens. The sculptural elephant is modeled with oversized ears, tusks and an upturned tail, making this as much a decorative desk sculpture as a functional magnifying glass. The underside retains the original JONATHAN ADLER – HANDMADE IN INDIA label as well as the impressed circular JA maker's mark. The brass has been left with its naturally developed patina rather than polished, giving the piece a warm, richly mottled surface. The magnifying lens is thick glass and remains intact. Details Jonathan Adler Elephant figural magnifying glass Brass with glass magnifying lens Handmade in India Original Jonathan Adler label Impressed JA maker's mark Approximately 6 tall and 3½ long Discontinued design Likely 2010s production Condition: Good preowned condition with naturally developed brass patina, tarnish and surface variation from age and display. Glass lens is intact. Please examine photographs carefully, as they are part of the description. The brass has intentionally not been polished in order to preserve its existing patina.
