Charming vintage handmade basket by Snug Harbor Artisans, complete with its original maker's hang tag. This long, shallow woven basket features a natural finish accented with muted gray weaving and a wonderful brick-red band decorated with tiny hand-painted green leaves and white berries. A tall wooden swing handle gives it the look of a traditional gathering or market basket. The understated red, green and natural palette makes this especially lovely for Christmas and winter decorating without feeling overly Christmas-y. It would be beautiful filled with greenery, pinecones, ornaments, holiday cards or small wrapped gifts—or simply displayed on a shelf, mantel or farmhouse table. Details Handmade by Snug Harbor Artisans Original paper maker's tag still attached Woven natural-fiber construction Wood swing handle Hand-painted berry/holly-style accents Approximately 14 long Approximately 6 high at the basket rim Vintage country / primitive / folk-art styling Likely late 20th century Condition: Very nice vintage condition with age-appropriate wear to the natural woven materials. There are minor irregularities, small fibers and variations inherent to handmade basketry. The original paper tag shows some age. Please review all photos closely, as they are part of the description.
