When you've been searching for that special touch to your Christmas celebrations, this serving plate just might be what you need! This serving plate was made by Waldman House Press in 1995 to celebrate the wonderful book written by author Tom Hegg and illustrated by artist Warren Hanson. The Christmas book tells a story about a young man's reluctant visit to an elderly aunt and the unexpected joy it brought him. This beautiful Bone China plate is coated in white glaze. In the center of the plate, the words A Cup of Christmas Tea is applied in brown lettering. Around the center well is a ring of green holly and red berries. Around the edge of the plate is a line of small holly leaves and green dots. A band of gold is hand painted on the rim. On the underside of the plate is the dated backstamp of the Waldman House Press explaining the plate. This plate is in excellent vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks. There is no crazing, or loss to the patterns, glazes or colors used. It is exactly as shown in pics. This is a wonderful Christmas plate with a wonderful story! It's the perfect size for serving that special Christmas cake!
