A mid-century, Danish-made playing card case crafted from Brazilian rosewood. Likely from Klitgaard, one of the representative workshops of mid-century Danish design, this piece is made from solid, beautifully grained Brazilian rosewood. The lid features silver inlays depicting playing card suits, incorporating joinery techniques that elevate it to the status of a true work of art. This item is deadstock. Dimensions: W: 116mm x 60mm, H: 75mm We are offering items from a collection of mid-century modern design and Nordic masterpieces, which were acquired during a stay approximately 23 years ago. This is an exceptional piece that showcases the prowess of mid-century Danish woodworking. It is a testament to the unique craftsmanship of Denmark and the Nordic region from the 1950s and 60s, designed to enhance any home. It would pair beautifully with furniture by designers such as Wegner, Mogensen, Juhl, and Aalto. Many of these items are now impossible to purchase. The quality is such that they could be found in craft museums, and this is indeed one such masterpiece. Click here for the manufacturer's site
