Step back into the historic beauty of the Bavarian Alps with this authentic antique German travel souvenir brooch from the picturesque town of Berchtesgaden. This highly collectible piece showcases an exquisite, dimensional repoussé-style landscape featuring the historic village church and alpine chalets nestled dramatically beneath the towering, jagged peaks of Mount Watzmann. The bottom of the scenic frame is elegantly adorned with a sculpted cluster of blooming Edelweiss flowers, the timeless symbol of alpine survival and purity. This specific piece boasts a magnificent, highly sought-after bleeding patina. This mixed-metal look beautifully contrasts cold silver tones with warm copper highlights, heavily validating its turn-of-the-century age. The reverse side confirms its genuine age and early European manufacturing. It features a robust, fully functional brass pin stem secured by an early European open-loop C-clasp mechanism and an oversized coiled wire hinge. This style of hardware predates modern safety locks and was the definitive jewelry assembly standard from the late 1800s into the 1910s. This versatile pin makes a handsome addition to a traditional woolen alpine hat, a winter coat lapel, or a dense scarf knit. Please refer to the grid photos provided in the listing to view the exact
