This is an intelligent L2+ switch from HPE (formerly HP/H3C). Configuration can be done via the console port, as well as SSH/Web. This switch supports stacking configuration using IRF, in addition to SFP ports and 1Gbase-T ports. Chassis-spanning link aggregation (LAG/LACP) can also be configured. Furthermore, its short depth makes it ideal for home lab use without taking up much space. As it is a Comware-based switch, it has command compatibility with NEC and H3C switches, in addition to HPE switches. This device is still usable for practical applications, as well as for learning networking concepts such as VLAN, STP, and LACP. We particularly recommend it for environments where chassis-spanning LAG/LACP configuration is possible, as such setups are not easily prepared.
