Thank you for viewing. I have used this item carefully for watching YouTube music and DVDs. It is in beautiful condition with no operational issues. Today, AV amplifiers with such heavy-duty power supplies (22kg) are rare. This was a top-tier YAMAHA model from its era, offering a rich sound that is highly recommended for those who prioritize sound quality. It also performs exceptionally well for 2-channel music playback in Pure Direct mode. As this is a pre-owned item, please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such details. It is sold as-is, and the photos show everything included. The YAMAHA DSP-AZ2, released in early October 2002 with a suggested retail price of ¥180,000, was the second-highest model in the company's AV amplifier lineup at the time, following the flagship DSP-AZ1. It features an 8-channel discrete power amplifier and supports formats like DTS 96/24 and Dolby Digital EX, making it a high-end unit for its time. Key Features: 8-Channel Power Amplifier Built-in: A fully discrete 8-channel amplifier, including dedicated channels for front effects, enables 8.1-channel Cinema DSP playback from a single unit. High-Quality Sound Design: Employs High Current Amplifier technology, reducing internal impedance to improve speaker driving power. Supported Formats: Compatible with DTS 96/24, DTS-ES Discrete 6.1, Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Pro Logic II, and more. 35 Cinema DSP Programs: Features a total of 35 surround programs, including Movie Theater tailored for movie scenes. D/A Converter: Utilizes 192kHz/24bit DACs for all channels, pursuing high-purity playback of digital sources. Main Specifications: Rated Output: Front/Center/Surround/Surround Back: 130W + 130W (6Ω each), Presence: 25W + 25W (6Ω) External Dimensions: 435W x 191H x 453D mm Weight: 22.0 kg Power Consumption: 430W (Less than 1W in standby), Power Supply: 100V 50/60Hz Color: Gold The Appeal of Cinema DSP: While it lacks the latest HDMI inputs, YAMAHA's Cinema DSP was highly acclaimed for its ability to reproduce the realism not only of movies but also of live music video performances. This AV amplifier, released at ¥180,000 (excluding tax) at the time, is characterized by its deep and powerful sound. Click here for the manufacturer's site
