Thank you for looking. This item has been stored in a non-smoking home environment. This is the May 1997 issue of Studio Voice magazine. The condition is clean considering its age, but the following damages are noteworthy: - Dirt on the cover The feature is The Current State of Photo Books '97. This issue is solely dedicated to introducing photo books. While the number of introductions should be similar to other The Current State of Photo Books issues, the solid structure and depth of the planning are impressive. The HIROMIX photos from her peak are heartwarming, and it unusually includes an interview with Cocco. The sponsors are also lavish, giving a sense of great effort. This might have been the peak era for STUDIO VOICE. Even back then, STUDIO VOICE was not a magazine for everyone. With its unique editorial approach that freely explores a wide range of genres and themes such as art, music, fashion, and culture, it felt like it was doing what it wanted, how it wanted. It's a magazine that evokes the excitement and passion of a zine. In today's magazines, which are often produced with various eyes in mind—reader reviews, societal opinions, and sponsor evaluations—the bold editing and structure of this magazine, which would be unthinkable now, become more appealing with time, making one ponder the true essence of information dissemination. The sponsor advertisements also show an incredible level of effort, and within the context of magazines from that era made with film cameras and print media, its creation is particularly evocative.
