This is a 1979 Leica Elmarit 28mm F2.8, third-generation model. This particular unit features the distinctive waist barrel design found in the earliest production runs of the third generation, a characteristic not seen in later models and highly sought after by collectors. This lens was purchased from Akasaka Camera. The third-generation Elmarit is known as a superb lens that retains the soft character of old lenses while offering an excellent balance of contrast and resolution. It is highly compatible with M-mount Leicas and is also known for producing a three-dimensional rendering when used with digital cameras. [Condition] - Exterior: Shows signs of use consistent with its age, but overall in good condition. - Optics: No significant damage that would affect image quality is observed. - Operation: Both the focus ring and aperture ring operate smoothly. *Please note that this is an old lens, so please consider its condition as appropriate for its age. *Please check our profile before purchasing. By purchasing, you agree to the terms and conditions. Click here for the manufacturer's site
