We are offering 1.5kg of rare granite-based mountain sand (red sand) in small portions. Image 4 shows an example of its use (the item you will receive is shown in images 1-3; this image is for reference only). Currently, collection is prohibited in many areas, making this a scarce and valuable material with extremely limited distribution. It possesses different physical properties from common volcanic sands (such as Hyuga-na and Kiryu-na). ■ Features of this product Sharp particle shape: Unlike river sand, mountain sand has angular particles due to less abrasion. It easily creates gaps within the soil mix, ensuring excellent drainage and aeration. Granite-based: This sand is from the same family as Shirakawa-na and Rokko-na, which are highly valued in the Kansai region. It is particularly ideal for those aiming for compact growth in caudiciform plants (Pachypodium, Adenium, etc.) and succulents. Enhances inorganic soil mixes: By adding it to a base of Akadama soil, Kanuma soil, pumice, etc., it prevents root rot and promotes healthy root development. ■ Recommended uses Top dressing and soil mix for caudiciform plants (cacti), Agave, and cacti. Cultivation of alpine plants where drainage is a top priority. ■ Product specifications Contents: Approximately 1.5kg Particle size: Around 4mm Condition: Unwashed (retains natural components.
