This is a true collector's piece and one of the cleanest early Type III examples you will find. Most Big E jackets from this era are torn, repaired, missing the leather patch, or heavily distressed. This one remains in excellent vintage condition with beautiful natural fading, strong color, and all original hardware. 🔥 AUTHENTIC FEATURES (1962–1967) ✔ Big E Red Tab ✔ Original early leather patch (rare—often missing on 60s jackets!) ✔ Factory button code: 521 (early U.S. factory used during 1962–67) ✔ No care tag (correct for pre-1971 production) ✔ Original Levi Strauss brass buttons ✔ Classic 557XX pocket shape and stitching pattern ✔ Made in USA ✔ Beautiful 60-year vintage fade and patina This is the first-generation Type III (557XX) — not the later 70505 models from the late '60s and '70s. 📏 SIZE & FIT Tagged size is worn off (normal for 1960s Levi's). eBay requires one size selection, so listed as MEDIUM.
