A beautiful pair of retired Periwinkle Blue 12-inch Chop Plates (Round Serving Platters). Periwinkle is a beloved discontinued color (produced 1989–2006) that fits perfectly with both modern and vintage Fiesta collections. AUTHENTICITY & DATE: Both plates feature the KKB production stamp on the back, dating them to the second quarter of 1996. These are genuine Post-86 Homer Laughlin pieces. CONDITION: VGUC (Very Good Used Condition) These plates are in great shape for being nearly 30 years old, but please note the following details: No Chips or Cracks: Both plates are structurally perfect with no repairs. Factory Marks: Include minor sand bumps (tiny grains of kiln debris under the glaze), which are original manufacturing characteristics. One plate also has a tiny black 'pepper spot' or carbon spot near the rim, a common factory characteristic from the kiln firing. Surface Wear: There are permanent surface scratches in the glaze from normal use. These are not gray utensil marks, but light physical scratches. (Please see photos) Finish: The glaze remains vibrant and glossy. MEASUREMENTS: Diameter: 11.5-12 approximately Weight: These are heavy, substantial plates (approx. 2.75 lbs each). Perfect for a collector looking for daily-use pieces in a classic retired color!
