Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic piece of vintage American studio art woodware handcrafted by noted artisan William Bill Nash. This iconic heart-shaped puzzle box features a nesting drawer that seamlessly pulls out from the main body, showcasing the incredible precision of bandsaw-cut artistry. Artisan Provenance: The back of the box features the distinct, hand-written signature of William Nash, an exhibiting member of the Piedmont Craftsmen guild. His pieces are highly collectible examples of the 20th-century American studio craft movement. Materials & Craftsmanship: This piece is meticulously constructed using contrasting, laminated layers of American hardwoods—specifically rich cherry and light maple. The lamination highlights a striking, multi-toned striped pattern across the top and sides, perfectly complementing the biomorphic, flowing geometry of the heart shape. It is topped with a finely turned matching wooden pull knob. Dimensions: Width: 6 inches (at the widest point) Height: 4 inches (including the top knob) Condition:Excellent vintage pre-owned condition. The wood grain is beautifully preserved, the laminated seams are tight and flush, and the drawer slides out smoothly. (Note: Please review all photos carefully to assess the natural wood character and exact condition).
