Jack Reid was a prominent in-house menswear sub-brand owned by the major British department store chain British Home Stores (BHS). Active heavily throughout the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, the line was a staple of high-street fashion in the United Kingdom. It was best known for providing affordable, formal tailoring, office wear, and traditional casual pieces for working-class men. FEATURES: NWOT VISCOSE BLEND FABRIC COTTON LINING (3) INTERIOR POCKETS NO FLAWS! Style Focus: The Tailoring Foundation: The hallmark of the Jack Reid brand was budget-friendly tailoring. The line mass-produced structured two-piece suits, single-breasted and double-breasted blazers, formal trousers, and pinstripe business attire. Fabric Blends: To keep retail prices accessible for the everyday high-street shopper, garments were typically constructed from polyester and viscose blends. However, the label occasionally used higher-end materials, releasing Jack Reid Heritage lines featuring Woolmark-approved tweed and heavy-wool-blend winter overcoats. DEFENSE During the peak of British department stores, the Jack Reid line served as BHS’s core defense against rival menswear lines like Marks & Spencer's St Michael brand.
